This summer, artists Haley Andres, Abbie Baldwin and Kristan Schuford were awarded grants that allowed them to pursue their craft while living abroad in Germany for three months.  A fourth student, Luc Sokolsky, spent the time in Budapest, learning the trade of art curation. Thrift-store culture has been booming in the Pacific Northwest for the past decade, and it has only been picking up speed. With the immense popularity of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s song “Thrift Shop,” secondhand clothing has had a rebirth that our generation has swallowed whole.   It’s difficult to miss those detailed exhibits that are periodically changed in the library. The current exhibit, which has been up since February 8, is entitled “Celebrating Puget Sound Theatre.”  As the name suggests, this particular exhibit presents a glimpse into the process of and effort that goes into performance and production at the University of Puget Sound.
