Logger baseball walked away with a win in their three-game series against Whitman. The Puget Sound baseball team played three games against Whitman College at home on March 28-29 and finished with a series victory when the Loggers won two of the three games.   Both winning games were ended by walk-off home runs, the first hit by sophomore Troy Kakugawa (Mililani, Hawaii) and the second by junior Nathan Backes (Seattle, Wash.). The voice of one of Puget Sound’s very own a cappella groups, Underground Sound, brought a free concert to the student body in Kilworth Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. The students prepared for this performance for the entire semester while under the instruction of sophomores Lisa Hawkins and Daniel Wolfert, co-directors of the group.
