The Puget Sound men’s rugby team has had an eventful season as they concluded their fall session Saturday, Nov. 10. Although it has been a hard and rough season for the team, they managed to pull through and stay undefeated in their conference to become champions in the Pacific Northwest. The Puget Sound women’s soccer team had a tremendous season this year with many awards and honors. Within their conference they have won their 11th consecutive NWC title, NWC coach of the year; and eight of the players were selected as all NWC team players. Moreover, the Loggers were one of the most balanced teams in the conference, ranking second in both goals scored and fewest goals allowed. Loggers’ offense sputters, team loses final home game vs. Linfield

The final home game for the Puget Sound football team was Saturday, Nov. 4 against Linfield. This was an especially important game for the seniors as they celebrated Senior Day. The Puget Sound women’s soccer team had an impressive weekend with two conference victories. The team faced off against cross-town rivals Pacific Lutheran on Wednesday, Oct. 24 and George Fox on Sunday, Oct. 28. Early in the game against PLU, the women’s team had possession and would hold most of the possession throughout the game. It was a weekend of exciting games for the Puget Sound men’s soccer team. Their first game on Saturday, Oct. 21 was against Linfield, and their game on Sunday, Oct. 22 was against Willamette. Logger football buried early, loses fifth straight

The Puget Sound football team took to the field this weekend against the Pacific Boxers at Baker Stadium. It was a toughly fought game in the beginning, but the Boxers eventually took full control of the game in the third quarter and  carried the game with a 62-21 win over the Loggers. The undefeated Puget Sound women’s soccer team stayed in perfect form on Saturday, Sept. 29 against Whitman. It was during the next game on Sunday, Sept. 30 that the Loggers ran into trouble against Whitworth and faced their first conference loss of the season. The Puget Sound volleyball team continued their conference winning streak this weekend in Oregon against George Fox and Pacific. On Friday, Sept. 21 the Loggers faced off against the George Fox Bruins and stayed in perfect form sweeping the match 3-0 in their favor. The next night against the Pacific Boxers, the Loggers once again swept the match 3-0, and that win made them 4-0 in the NWC and ranked 10th overall. The Puget Sound cross-country team opened their season with strong victories on both the men and women’s sides. On Sept. 1, they ran at the Puget Sound Invitational in Lakewood, Wash. where the women’s team took first overall, and senior Matt Klein (Portland, Ore.) took an individual title for the men’s team. The Puget Sound women’s lacrosse team remained active during spring break, continuing their competitive season. It was a rough week for the team, which lost all of its games during the break, but it was apparent that the Loggers fought hard during each game.
