Rivalry Week

In 1949, when Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran were both colleges, the teams had put an annual Totem Bowl football game which is the first recorded rivalry trophy in the archives. Even though the trophy  is not part of the rivalry both team have continued to the competition for the best of Tacoma. This year, Pacific Lutheran University will host the Loggers for the first conference game of the season. By Kevin White Women’s Soccer: The Loggers managed to get a split this past week. The team fell just short against Pacific Lutheran University on Wednesday, losing 1-0 in double overtime. The team managed to rebound on Saturday, beating Lewis and Clark 1-0 on a goal by sophomore Tayla MacPherson (Seattle, Washington). The team’s next game is at Whitworth on September 30th. Logger Soccer Boasts Strong Senior Class

The men’s team has posted a 5-2 record, including a pair of wins in last weekend’s matches with Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA) and Whitworth University (Spokane, Washington).
