Lacrosse tops Linfield to finish season at 6-6

The Puget Sound women’s lacrosse team ended the 2011 season on a high note this past weekend, wrapping up the year with a 19-8 victory over the Linfield Wildcats on Saturday. The Loggers dropped a match to Pacific University on Friday by a score of 18-12, but salvaged the split with the victory over Linfield. Men’s basketball ends season on high note, looks ahead to future

The 2010-2011 men’s basketball season came to an end this past weekend on the road with the Loggers going 1-1 in their two-game set with Lewis and Clark and George Fox. Puget Sound dropped a heart-breaker to the Pioneers of Lewis and Clark on Friday in overtime, but rebounded on Saturday to finish out the season with a close win over the Bruins. Women’s soccer wraps up banner year

The Puget Sound women’s soccer team collected their ninth consecutive Northwest Conference title after shutting out Pacific University 2-0 on Friday and Linfield 2-0 as well on Saturday. By finishing the season on a 13-game undefeated streak in conference play, The Loggers improved to 14-1-1 in conference play and 17-1-2 overall. Cross Country strong at NWC meet

There was no shortage of excitement at the Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships this past Saturday in Lakewood, WA. The Logger men and women have run hard all season in anticipation for this race, which marked the beginning of the postseason for all runners in the conference. Puget Sound did not dominate the race in the team standings but had several competitors post impressive times. The men finished in 8th place overall in the race.
